I’ve been grooming pets for over 60 years, and I still love every part of it. What started as a simple favor—helping a friend wash dogs in 1963—quickly turned into a lifelong career. I was training to be a hairdresser at the time, but working with pets felt more natural, more rewarding. I never looked back. Over the years, I’ve worked with all kinds of pets, including those who are anxious, wiggly, or need extra patience. In New York, I worked closely with veterinarians, learning how to handle difficult grooms and ensure every pet gets the care they need. I also had the privilege of grooming many celebrity pets while working in NYC.

When I opened Happy Puppy Pet Spa in 2011, I built it on the same principles I’ve always believed in—one pet at a time, no cages, no rush. Grooming should never be stressful, and I make sure every pet leaves feeling clean, comfortable, and happy. I use Kinetico filtered water and high-quality shampoos because I believe in doing things the right way, not just the easy way. If your pet needs gentle, experienced grooming, I’d love to welcome them in.
